This year’s entertainment is stacked full of talent. Live performances take place on two stages: the Logtown Stage located on the south end of the festival and the Downtown Gazebo which is directly in the center of the Adairsville Downtown Public Square. The Gazebo Stage will host a lineup of traditional festival entertainment. Friday’s music starts at 12pm, with the Austin Zachary Band closing out the evening at 9:30pm. On Saturday, enjoy the annual parade at 11am on the Downtown Public Square, which will include floats that recognize the decades of the Festival and its impact on the Adairsville community. Following the parade, attendees can participate in an old fashioned cake walk on the lower section of the Downtown Square. Don’t miss the opportunity to watch the wildly entertaining Boogie Down Skaters at 1:30pm. The annual Great Locomotive Chase Pageant will begin at 3pm on the lower section of the Downtown Public Square. While spending the afternoon in the Square make sure to stop and shop the artisan/craft vendors as well as the charming local shops. Visitors are also encouraged to stop by the Historic Depot Museum & Welcome Center which will be open throughout the festival. Closing out the evening on the Downtown Gazebo Stage will be the local favorite, Babes Bayou at 5:30pm.
The Logtown Stage is on the south end of the festival, right in the midst of the food vendors. Featuring a stellar musician lineup, this stage is going to rock! Friday night make sure to check out the Jeff Rogers band at 7:30pm. Saturday you don’t want to miss out seeing Whiskey Dixie at 12, followed by Royal Johnson Band at 4:30pm, the talented Matt Brantley Band at 6:30pm with the headliner being the 1994 Grammy Award Winner nominee Confederate Railroad, taking the stage at 9pm. Best known for their self-titled album, Confederate Railroad is a two-time platinum country group. As is tradition on Sunday, the festival opens at Noon with a full day of gospel music from the Downtown Gazebo Stage. For the complete music lineup go online www.visitadairsville.org.
