Popular band set to perform at downtown Cartersville’s Music by the Tracks event
On Saturday, July21, northwest Georgia’s favorite country band, Babes Bayou, will be taking the stage in downtown Cartersville at the Music by the Tracks summer concert series. Presented by Harbin Clinic and Georgia Highlands College, this series is in its 3rd year and going strong. Babes Bayou, out of Adairsville, is a well-loved group that is guaranteed to please. The summer concert is free to attend and begins at 7 PM in the downtown plaza. It is a rain or shine event.
“We are so excited to have Babes Bayou as part of our summer concert series,” said Cartersville Downtown Development Authority’s Marketing and Promotions Coordinator, Hannah Surrett. “Babes Bayou has been through Cartersville before and always draws a great crowd. We are so thankful to Harbin Clinic and Georgia Highlands College for their sponsorship of the Music by the Tracks concert series. Their generous sponsorship is what has helped up improve our lineup of artists that will be performing in this concert series, which takes place the 3rd Saturday of each month from June through September.”
From 7:00 to 9:00 PM, Babes Bayou will take the stage. Featuring musicians Ryan Coker, Matt Chambers, and Matt Thornton the group is known for their awesome vocals and three part harmony. With 12 years of experience, Babes Bayou has shared the stage with national acts like Luke Bryan, Billy Currington, and Kip Moore. They have also been voted Georgia Country Artist of the Year twice since forming their group.
Continued Surrett, “I was so pleased by the number of folks who showed up for our last event I look forward to seeing another great crowd downtown on Saturday, July 21. The pro tip from some of our regular attendees is that the best way to enjoy this event is to make an evening of it while you’re downtown. With so many great places to shop and dine there is plenty to fill the time before 7, then join us in Friend- ship Plaza for some music and socializing, and please be sure to thank Harbin Clinic and Georgia Highlands College for their sponsorship of the series while you’re here. Since the Downtown Development Authority is a non-profit, we rely on the local businesses to help support community programs like Music by the Tracks.”
Attendees may bring their blankets or lawn chairs to the event, or just grab one of the seats in the amphitheater. A warm summer night is the perfect time to sit back, relax, and enjoy some drinks if you so wish. Luckily, Reformation Brewery will be on site with the Local Bar and Grill selling alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Julian’s Kitchen food truck will also be on site selling the perfect summer cuisine. This will be a night in down- town Cartersville you won’t want to miss!
