The Pumphouse Players are excited to present the romantic comedy, “Bell, Book and Candle” as their second show for their 44th season!  Written by John Van Druten, the story centers around a modern witch named Gillian.  Gillian is attracted to unattached publisher, Shepherd Henderson, and her desire to keep him away from a rival results in Gillian casting a spell on him.  Shepherd falls desperately in love with Gillian, despite that witches cannot fall in love, so this leads to a number of difficulties.  Preferring a “normal” love offered by Shepherd, Gillian breaks away from her companions in witchery.  Will she ultimately lose Shepherd, or will they live happily ever after?

The Pumphouse Players will feature five performances of “Bell, Book and Candle” at the Legion Theatre.  Friday and Saturday performances will take place on October 19th, 20th, 26th, and 27th at 8PM, and there will be one Sunday matinee performance on October 21st at 3PM.  Tickets are $18 each ($15 for PHP members) or $13 when purchased in groups of ten or more for the same performance.  For more information, or to purchase tickets, please visit www.pumphouseplayers.com.  The Pumphouse Players have would like to thank each and every patron for supporting the Arts in our community!
