front of theaterBeginning December 7th, the Pumphouse Players bring a very different version of “A Christmas Carol” to the stage. They are pleased to present “A Christmas Carol: A Live Radio Play,” by Joe Landry and Kevin Connors.

The Charles Dickens holiday classic comes to life as a live 1940s radio broadcast, complete with vintage commercials for fruitcake (extra-fancy), and the magic of live sound effects and musical underscoring. A handful of actors bring dozens of characters to the stage, as the familiar story unfolds: Three ghosts take Ebenezer Scrooge on a thrilling journey to teach him the true meaning of Christmas. A charming take on a family favorite that will leave no one saying “Bah Humbug!”

Tickets are $18 each ($15 for members), and special pricing is provided for parties of 10 or more. Friday and Saturday performances will take place at the Legion Theatre on December 7th, 8th, 14th, and 15th at 8PM, and a Sunday matinee performance will be on Sunday, December 9th at 3PM. Please visit www.pumphouseplayers.com to purchase tickets in advance, and as always, the Pumphouse Players are grateful to the community for its support of the Arts!
