Downtown Cartersville Prepares for 7th Annual Bluegrass & Roots Festival
Free festival featuring bluegrass and roots music,
food, drinks, 60+ vendors, and a Kids Zone
While many local and regional performers will provide musical entertainment throughout the afternoon, the Downtown Development Authority is excited to have two great headliners for this years’ event. Headlining the Roots Stage, located at the firehouse, at 5:45 PM is Jeff Sipe Trio Featuring Mike Seal and Taylor Lee. The headliner for the Bluegrass Stage, located at the Train Depot, that will also begin at 5:45 p.m is Nick DiSebastian and Friends. This year’s band lineup has taken the festival to another level by providing your traditional bluegrass with a mixture of “Roots” that incorporates blues, country, folk, jazz and early rock.Check out the complete lineup, as well as bios of all the bands, at www.cartersvillebluegrass.com, and be on the lookout for posters, banners, event program guides, and other marketing materials all designed by Lara J. Designs and printed by McStatts’ Printing.
The Kids’ Zonewill be in the Founders Oak parking lot next to the fountain in downtown Cartersville. This year, the Kids Zone will have a mega inflatable obstacle course, a bounce house, free pumpkin painting thanks to Tabernacle Baptist Church, face painting, fishing in the fountain, painting the wooden train, chalk, and other crafts for kids to enjoy. Most of these offerings are free.
